If you suffer from panic attacks and anxiety, you may, at times, feel utterly alone. Family, friends, and co-workers may want to help, but don’t know how. Some may think you’re just trying to get attention. Many are losing patience with you and are wondering when you’re going to “snap out of it.” The truth is, they really don’t understand.
Doctors and therapists can be very helpful, but are hard to reach outside of appointments. You may have found a hotline or support center, but they are expensive and have limited hours. There are online support groups, but you might be waiting for hours for someone to respond to your post, and few members can speak from a perspective of having overcome this condition.
How many times have you wished you had a live person to talk to who understands what you’re going through, has overcome it, will really listen to you, and not just give you pat answers? Congratulations! You’ve found me!!
My name is Scott Hoisington. For almost 25 years, I suffered from Panic Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. All that you have just read was my experience.
During my long and painful journey, I often told myself, “If I ever get over this, I’m going to help other people who have this condition!” Then one day recently, as I looked back on a particularly stressful year (with the death of a parent, a job change, and two moves—one cross-country, among other things) I realized that day had come, and it was time to make good on my promise.
I have no books, tapes, or supplements to sell you. I’m not a doctor, a therapist, nor a hypnotist. But whether you’ve just started having panic attacks, or you’ve found yourself in yet another relapse, I can offer additional support. My rate is just $0.40 per minute.
